Takahashi FSQ106
This is an original model
FSQ106 with a 4 element Fluorite lens configuration. It has a
focal length of 540mm and a diameter of 106mm which yields a
focal ration of f/5. It has a Robofocus motorised stepper motor
focuser which works extremely well. |

Celestron C11 OTA with Carbin
Fibre Tube.
To make this OTA better
suited to astrophotography, I have performed the following
modifications:
-
Installed
a Moonlite Motorised (stepper motor) focuser
-
Fitted
2x12VDC fans to assist with rapid temperature levelling
-
Flocked
the OTA and the walls of the secondary mirror
-
Installed
mirror lock screws

Guiding Setup
Skywatcher ED-80 with
Moonlite motorised focuser - I replaced the stock focuser
because I was not happy with the Robofocus setup for the scope.
The Moonlite focuser works brilliantly.

Canon EOS 400D, 10MegaPixel
DSLR (unModded). I
used this camera when I was starting off down the astroimaging
path. I purchased an aftermarket battery pack which I modified
to be run of a permanent power source (as anyone who has tried
to use the standard camera batteries knows, they have a habit of
running out of juice half way through an imaging run). |

Wheel For the price,
this is one gem of a camera / CFW combo. I have had few problems
with this camera, and what problems I have had have been quickly
resolved by the local seller. |
