Correspondences

Correspondences are used to create magick. The easiest way to explain why they are used is to liken them to a prayer. However, in conjunction with the prayer (Which is asking the divine for assistance, or sending your intent into the collective energies of all things), a Witch will use moon phases, seasons, time, chants, etc. With the specific vibrations of colours, crystals, herbs etc. to closer align and charge the prayer with extra power. A witch will usually perform magick within a sacred space for focus of intent and energies. Sometimes talismans are made, and there are endless combinations to use for very specific purposes.

Magick works well in both subtle and powerful ways, but it never works well if the intention is not clear and pure of heart. Witches believe very strongly in karma and the rule of three, and only perform magick when the need is genuine, and it cause no harm. Anyone that tells you different is ignorant of Witchcraft!

You need some knowledge of how and why they work, and for that you really need to speak to a Witch in person, or to do a course in Witchcraft. As this website is primarily just for me, I have no intention to go into lengthy discussions on the subject here; however, in simple terms, you select various Correspondences to align and charge your spell with energies and vibration frequencies. They can be only a couple, or a great many. It's up to the individual.
