The
Law of Power
1. The
Power shall not be used to bring harm, to injure or control
others.
But if the need rises, the Power shall be used to protect your
life or the lives of others.
2. The
Power is used only as need dictates.
3. The
Power can be used for your own gain, as long as by doing so you
harm none.
4. It
is unwise to accept money for use of the Power, for it quickly
controls its taker. Be not
as those of other religions.
5. Use
not the Power for pride full gain, for such cheapens the
mysteries of Wicca and magick.
6. Ever
remember that the Power is the sacred gift of the Goddess and
God, and should never be misused or abused.
7.
And this is the Law of Power.

My notes:
"The Power"
can be interpreted a few different ways, my interpretation is the
power within myself, which may be helped along by attuning myself
to various correspondences in ritual or magick work.
A lot of
Witches (or Pagan's in general) take issues with those promoting
Witchcraft in the public domain, believing this is abusing or
misusing the sacred gift. I agree with that..... to a point. I
also believe where there is a thirst for knowledge in a particular
area, it should be facilitated, and that without Witches brave
enough to talk about their beliefs in public, it prevents the
truth from being told. Witches in the public eye also spark
curiosity in some that lead them to this path, and I am one of
them. Who knows how long it would have taken me to find this path
without people like Fiona Horne? (Who I personally believe is an
excellent role model and ambassador for Witchcraft).
I think in the end, it is up to the individual to decide for
him/herself what should be discussed in the public arena, and what
should remain private. For myself, I keep a physical book of
shadows that holds my personal notes, spells and alike; and the
rest I put here on my website to share with others.
