LX Wedge

The following diagrams show my design for a polar wedge for Meade LX200 or LX90 (with an LX200 adapter plate)

I designed this wedge based very loosely on the Milburn Wedge. The main difference is that this is a screw together design, which removes some of the cost associated with the welding process. It also allows the use of different materials for different wedge components. For example, it's possible to build the base & tilt plate out of aluminium plate and use high quality marine plywood for the sides.
